Ans: The shoemaker became rich by selling all the pairs of shoes that were made by the elves.

Ans: The shoemaker and his wife gave little coats, trousers and tiny shoes to the little elves.

6. Why did the little elves never come back ?

Ans: The little elves, when received gifts from the shoemaker, understood that their job was done and they were successful in bringing the shoemaker’s luck. That is why the little elves never came back.
